Chaddesley Corbett Endowed Primary School - Worcestershire
The construction of this new £4m Single Storey Primary School together with associated facilities, car parking, landscaping, creation of new access off the A4878 and infrastructure works was completed by A&H Construction with internal fit out by Miles. Innovative building materials were used throughout the project. The school is of a high ecologically standard, using renewable CHP energy system and is partly buried within the slope of the hill. It features a turf roof to enable it to blend into the countryside. Porotherm was used to build the school’s internal cavity walls offering outstanding thermal performance combined with crucial thermal mass and allowing fast construction plus greater flexibility and options with other areas of the build.
The new primary school includes four junior classrooms, two infant classrooms, reception, dedicated music room, dedicated food science / dt room and associated offices and staff rooms
